These terms apply to every offer, order and agreement between Collector's Room ("we", "us") and the buyer ("you") made through this website. By placing an order you accept these terms.
We sell second hand, vintage and antique items. Each piece is unique and sold in the condition described. Age related traces such as wear, patina, small marks or repairs are part of the character of these objects and are not defects. We describe every piece as fully and honestly as we can, including known flaws, and provide photographs. If anything is unclear, contact us before buying.
Prices are in euros. Where the VAT margin scheme for second hand goods applies, VAT is not shown separately and cannot be reclaimed. Shipping costs are not included and are quoted separately per piece. Prices shown as "indicative" are illustrative and confirmed at the moment of sale.
An order or reservation is an offer to buy. The agreement is concluded once we confirm it in writing (by email). Because every item is one of a kind, an item may already be reserved or sold; in that case no agreement arises and any payment is refunded.
Payment is made through Mollie (iDEAL, card and other supported methods) or by bank transfer, as agreed. The piece remains our property until payment has been received in full.
Given the size, weight and fragility of many pieces, shipping and delivery are arranged individually. We agree the method, cost and timing with you before dispatch, and pack with care. Collection in person is possible by appointment. Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery or collection.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the item, without giving a reason. To do so, notify us by email within that period and return the item in the same condition in which you received it. The cost of return shipping is yours. We refund the purchase price within 14 days of receiving the returned item. This right does not apply to items made or sourced to your specific instructions.
We deliver the piece as described and depicted. Given the nature of vintage and antique goods, no warranty is given on age related wear or on the ordinary lifespan of old materials. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.
Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the piece concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, except in the case of intent or gross negligence on our part.
